About me

Hi, I’m Simon Bastide. My journey started in biomechanics and kinesiology, where I spent years studying the fascinating complexities of human movement.

Along the way, I encountered a recurring challenge: managing and making sense of the immense amounts of data generated by research.

Frustrated by the limitations of traditional tools, I ventured into data science. This opened the door to powerful techniques—advanced statistical models, programming, and modern data infrastructure—that revolutionized the way I approached my work.

What once felt like tedious data wrangling transformed into an exciting process of discovery, yielding faster insights and uncovering new perspectives.

But my curiosity didn’t stop there. The tools and methods I discovered in data science sparked a broader fascination with how data can reveal patterns, solve complex problems, and drive innovation across fields.

Today, I continue to explore these intersections—between science, technology, and the human experience.
